About this coloring collection

These magical flower story coloring pages follow one little princess through six garden scenes. She leans toward a flower with a seed on the grass, waters a patch of soil, kneels beside a sprout, stands next to tall blooms, holds a seed above the soil, and finally wears a flower crown with a bird beside a blooming plant. A small castle with a flag stays on the hill behind her. Any magic in the seed belongs to the story, not the drawings.

Pick the princess's colors first and repeat them on every page, such as a lavender dress, a pink heart, a gold crown, and light brown hair. Green stems, leaves, and hills then make pink, orange, or yellow petals stand out. For a cooler version, try a sky-blue dress with yellow hair and purple flowers. Brown works for the soil patches and the little trowel on the ground, and the castle could be gray with a red flag. On the last page, the small crown lying on the ground can reuse your gold, while the flower crown borrows petal colors from the plant.

The tightest spaces are the water drops on the watering page, the butterfly wings, and the small petals in the flower crown. Use a sharpened colored pencil there and work in short strokes from the outline inward. On the tall-flower page, finish one blossom at a time so the overlapping stems stay easy to follow. Crayons or broad markers cover the skirts and hills faster.

For a story activity, color all six pages, then arrange them in the order you think the adventure goes and say one sentence about each. What the seed is and what the bird does aren't drawn, so those ideas are yours to invent. Choose Print Coloring Sheet to color on paper, or Color Online to start in your browser.

Find quick answers to common questions about our free printable and online coloring pages.

Choose colors for her dress, heart, hair, and crown before you begin, and jot them on a scrap of paper. Reuse that list on each page. The last page adds a flower crown, so give its petals colors that also appear on the garden flowers, which ties that scene back to the rest.
